Highlights

Since we had gotten up so early for the fish market, we arrived at the Edo Museum basically at opening. So did the busloads of Japanese school children. Many of them were more excited to see white people than to be in the museum. In the hour or 2 we were there, many brave kids ran up to me, blurting out phrases such as "How do you do?", "I am good", and "Meddy Klist-mas," before running away giggling.
A small group cheered for me when I did this
It was very easy for Gabe and I to find each other that day in the museum.

One day we took a day trip out of Tokyo to a beach town where Gabe's friend Jake lives. It was a clear day and offered great views of Mount Fuji.

The biggest Buddha statue in Japan. Big enough to walk into his ass and tour the inside

Imperial Palace

Fish Market. The earlier you get there, the better. We unfortunately didn't make it early enough for the main tuna auction (or we totally passed it, as the market is bustling, huge, and like a labyrinth). We ended the fish market experience with a breakfast of sushi and beer. yum.

We checked out the Sumo stadium even though there weren't any tournaments going on. The entire area surrounding the stadium is the sumo district, scattered with training houses and restaurants with traditional sumo fare. We were lucky enough to see some walking the streets running errands and going to and from training.

Kabuki Theatre. We saw a show for about 7USD. It was 3 hours long, and that was just one act of the day.
